Building Stronger, Healthier Futures for Youth.

WHO WE ARE

Vitality Development Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Joshua Carbajal. Joshua became involved with Villegas Park Boxing in 2023 and later founded Vitality Development Foundation to expand youth health, mentorship, community service, athletic support, prevention, and outreach. Villegas Park Boxing itself has served Riverside's Casa Blanca community since 2005.

Through boxing and fitness, mentorship, health and wellness education, community service, youth prevention, school safety initiatives, athletic-equipment donations, and youth sports support, Vitality helps young people build healthy habits, confidence, discipline, positive relationships, and stronger connections to their communities.

Our direct programming takes place at Villegas Park in Casa Blanca. Beyond that, through equipment and safety-resource donations to boxing gyms, schools, youth leagues, and community sports organizations, Vitality's reach extends to young people throughout Riverside, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles counties.

WHY DO WE EXIST

To help young people become healthier, more confident, more disciplined, better connected, and more resilient - supported by positive adults, engaged in productive activities, and connected to their communities.

WHAT WE ACTUALLY DO

Vitality uses boxing and fitness, mentorship, health and wellness education, community service, youth leadership, youth prevention, school safety initiatives, equipment donations, youth sports support, and community outreach to help young people build healthy habits, confidence, discipline, and stronger connections to their community.

Roots in Riverside & Southern California

Vitality Development Foundation isn't just a program - it's part of the fabric of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. From local parks to neighborhood schools, we show young people that they belong and that their health matters. We emphasize active living, nutrition, and community service to fight obesity, prevent diabetes, and build lasting resilience. We also extend that same commitment beyond our own program, donating equipment to youth football, soccer, and basketball programs at schools throughout the region.

Founder Joshua Carbajal regularly visits boxing gyms in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, bringing resources such as mouthguards, hydration backpacks, water bottles, and towels to young athletes. Vitality also donates equipment such as mouthguards to youth football and other community sports programs across Riverside, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles counties, and has supported high school athletics, elementary-school safety initiatives, youth football and flag football, baseball programs, and other community sports organizations.
